Honey Cling to Me: The Bear Paintings Derek Jackson show take-down (sydney)

So,  on this mid, damp sunday afternoon things have come to an end yet again at Two Point Gallery. First step, as any artist should do before take-down, would be to document their work for the last time in the space. We got two cameras, two photographers, three little elfs to help and a ladder to capture the remains of what turned out to be, and no surprise there….a great show!

Word to Public: We’re going to miss the delinquent  questions like, “whats with the ears?” and “what do we call these?” Overall the first friday was birllient and thanks to all that came through to support. Then there was the sweet follow-through with the write up in the Phoniex paper (big-ups to Nick for the big words!)

This show has as definitely given the city a lot to think about via contemporary art, cultural identities and misconceptions of the male gender. We are very proud to have showcased Derek Jackson’s Bear paintings  and much appreciate the support  from our immensely, diverse community!

All great things must come to an end and this time around we’re making this one sweet as honey!
